Explosion vent panels
New generation of explosion vent panels
Explosion vent panels are very simple devices protecting against any explosions in industrial installations. The main advantages of the panels include their reliability and low purchase and operating costs compared with other protection systems. We offer a wide range of explosion vent panels dedicated for all branches of industry (also for food industry, for which we have a range of products meeting high sanitary and hygienic requirements, and their unique design allows adaptation to CIP and SIP processes).
Explosion vent panels, also known as explosion relief panels are devices designed to open immediately at
a predetermined pressure. Their purpose is to protect the system on which they are installed from an
excessive increase in pressure caused by dust or gases.
Importantly, explosion vent panels should not be installed where workers or other bystanders will be exposed
to direct contact with blast waves. In addition, to be as effective as possible, explosion vent panels must
be positioned in such a way that their operation does not create the risk of a subsequent explosion.
Therefore, any equipment or flammable substances that interfere with the panel's field of operation
must be properly secured.
Explosion vent panel is not a reusable device. Therefore, every time panel is opened, it must be replaced with a new one.
Rectangular explosion vent panels are mounted in lightweight angle brackets or welded flanges.
All in accordance with DIN and ANSI standards. Flanges are available in various configurations
and can be bolted or welded to the system.
When explosion vent panels are installed horizontally, it is recommended to use drainage holes
at the bottom of the flange. With some types of panels, it is also recommended that safety lines
and fences are installed in the centre of the tank to further extend the life of the explosion vent panel.
Explosion vent panels are delicate devices, exposed to mechanical damage, so it is extremely important
to install them in such a way that there is no possibility of damaging them by, for example, stepping on them.
In order to ensure complete safety of the installation, the device should be additionally protected with a
flameless system, e.g. FlamQuench flame arrester or HRD system.
Each Fike explosion panel vent is a composite panel - it consists of 3 layers: stainless steel - teflon seal - stainless steel. This type of solution significantly affects the life and durability of the purchased device. Such a construction distinguishes Fike panels from safety devices of this type offered by other manufacturers. Explosion vent panels can also be equipped with many additional elements, thus increasing their effectiveness in explosion protection. Using an explosion vent panels is a very cost-effective solution. They effectively protect not only company property, but above all the health and lives of employees.
EXPLOSION VENT PANEL - CV
CV explosion vent is extensively used and sets the industry standard for explosion panels. This flat vent layers stainless steel and FEP or PFA film. Thanks to that it creates a high performance explosion vent. This vent is very effective solution for static to light pressure cycling and light vacuum conditions.

EXCOVER FLOOR COVERING
Where a dust, wind and snow, ice may disturb an appropriate performance and fans or air conditioners are used Ex-Cover shield is recommended. When panels are assembled at the top of a tank it also prevents from injuries of working stuff, caused by panels rupture and falling inside. ExCover volunteers weightless and corrosion resistant construction, which avers rupture panels protection against dust, wind, snow or other such agents.
